Pancreatic cancer accounts for a disproportionate share of cancer mortality, composing only 3% of cancer diagnoses yet 7% of cancer deaths. With an increasing incidence and a stable mortality rate, the burden from this disease is rising. Obviously, efforts to improve outcomes are greatly needed. While progress can come from advancements in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, given known pancreatic cancer health inequities, assuring that all patients obtain the best outcome possible is also of utmost importance.
